How To Make A Contribution To CBTB Now

CBTB is in the final stage of incorporation to obtain its 501(c)(3) tax exempt status and it is not possible to predict when the final stage will be completed. There are two ways to make a donation to CBTB at this point in time:

(1) As before, you may make your checks payable to the Brooklyn Arts Council (see left) and earmark for Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn, Inc. Your contribution will be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

(2) You can make your donations directly to Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn, Inc. now but the tax deduction benefit will take effect only upon the completion of the final stage of incorporation. After which, all contributions made directly to CBTB subsequent to August 30, 2007, the date when CBTB became incorporated, will be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

To Make A Contribution To A Specific Fund

The New Space Fund: please indicate on the check, “New Space Fund” and, if preferred, specify what you would like to sponsor: barres, mirrors, floor, or other.

The Scholarship Fund: please indicate on your check, “Scholarship Fund.”

THANK YOU!

WHAT’S ON THE HORIZON? Upcoming events for the Company & Academy

THE COMPANY

Orphan Train rides to the Mid-West

Following our successful tour of the Hawaiian islands performing the Nisei ballet in honor of the WWII veterans and the Japanese families interned during that period of time, CBTB is planning another extraordinary journey taking Hirokawa’s historic ballet the Orphan Train to Iowa and Kansas in honor of the orphan train riders and their descendants. Important contacts have already been established and hopefully this project will come to fruition sometime during the summer of 2009.

Company principal dancer Brenda R. Neville was born and raised in Iowa and is herself a descendant of an orphan train rider. What a meaningful and remarkable event this will be!

CBTB on Cable Television

Another important contact has been made and CBTB may, in the near future, air one of its dance pieces with an interview of Hirokawa on the Brooklyn Cable Access Television.
