On June 7, 2008, Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn, Inc. and CBTB Dance Academy celebrated the Grand Opening of their new location at 2085 Coney Island Avenue (between Kings Highway & Avenue R) in Brooklyn, NY.  The new space boasts two brand new studios, both with sprung floors, dressing rooms, a music studio and much more.  September 8, 2008 will mark the beginning of a brand new Student Program year in our beautiful new space.  Details below

WHO & WHAT IS NEW THIS SEASON
CBTB Dance Academy is thrilled to announce the addition of four instructors to our staff.  Allison Jay (Ballet), Kristen Licata (Ballet, Modern), Jose Rivera (Ballet) and Joseph Tudisco (Modern/Jazz).  We are also very excited that Matthew Westerby has joined our permanent staff and will be teaching modern, a brand new "Dance Fundamentals for Boys" class, as well as continuing his Tap classes for students and adults.

Our adult program has expanded this year.  We now offer morning and evening classes in Beginner Ballet and Beginner Modern.  Our evening classes also include Pilates/Yoga Fusion, Beginner Flamenco and Beginner Tap.  Please be sure to check out the adult schedule for more information about the programs.

We are pleased to welcome NOTEABLE MUSIC who will be offering private lessons in guitar, bass, saxophone, percussion and piano in a special studio right inside CBTB Academy.  Now you can enjoy the one-stop convenience of dance and music lessons for your family.  For more information about music lessons, please call Noteable Music Studio at 551-574-8968 or email them at noteablemusic@gmail.com

CBTB principle dancers will be showcasing new choreography in our facility this coming fall.  Marla Hirokawa (artistic director of CBTB), Rebeccah Brann, Mandy Sau-Yi Chan, Joseph Tudisco and Matthew Westerby will be presenting original works on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25 (tentative dates, times tba).

How To Make A Contribution To CBTB

CBTB is in the final stage of incorporation to obain its 501(c)(3) tax exempty status and it is not possible to predict when when the final stage will be completed.  There are two ways to make a donation to CBTB at this point in time:

(1) As before, you may make your checks payable to the Brooklyn Arts Council and earmark for Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn, Inc.  Your contribution will be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

(2) You can make your donations directly to Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn, Inc. now but the tax deduction benefit will take effect only upon the completion of the final stage of incorporation.  After which, all contributions made directly to CBTB subsequent to AUgust 30, 2007, the date when CBTB became incorporated, will be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

The New Space Fund:  Please indicate on your check "New Space Fund" and, if preferred, specify what you would like to sponsor: barres, mirrors, floor or other.

The Scholarship Fund:  Please indicate on your check "Scholarship Fund"
